Matryoshka: the plot

My short film will revolve around Grey  - an introverted teenager who has never really fit in. He has Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is the formal term for Multiple Personality Disorder.
One day, Grey goes for a walk, and on his way home, a group of people start to follow him. At this point, it is unclear to the audience if Grey knows the group of people as he takes no notice of them. It is only after they enter his house, uninvited, when he acknowledges them.

At first, Grey is unsettled by their presence, so he locks himself in the bathroom and experiences a flashback of a past experience - a fire. It is suggested that Grey started the fire, and that he is haunted by this past experience. Is Grey haunted by the people who have entered his home? Did the people help Grey start the fire?

Waiting outside the bathroom is a girl called Matryoshka. Matryoshka is Russian for Russian Doll or Nesting Doll. Grey and Matryoshka talk familiarly, over why he was taking so long in the bathroom. Matryoshka can sense that Grey isn't feeling good so she drags him into the kitchen to get a drink.

Eventually, Matryoshka and Grey get drunk. When Matryoshka leaves to get Grey one last drink, he turns on her, and grabs her wrist tightly. The effects of the alcohol are starting to affect him. Grey begins to strangle Matryoshka, killing her as a result. Grey starts to choke, and he ends up dying as well. Matryoshka and the other people in his house were alters created in his mind as a result of his Dissociative Identity Disorder. So, in killing Matryoshka and the others, Grey has only killed himself.
