Preliminary Task
For our preliminary film, we filmed within the school grounds, therefore we didn't have much choice on location. The predominant locations used were the girls' toilets and the corridor on the ground floor of the school. In terms of equipment, we initially used a HD video camera with a tripod to film, but eventually we ended up filming with our smartphones as we realised they are just as good in quality. Plus, it gives the film more of a handheld effect - making it seem realistic. The plot unfolds following a girl who is in the girls' toilets. Unknown to her, there is someone in the room with her. So when she comes out of the cubicle, and looks into the mirror and sees a masked figure, she's surly frightened. The girl runs away, and hides behind a corridor. The masked figure, begins to stalk her, following her footsteps - intensifying the dramatic tension.
